Dr Iain Feather MB BS FRACP FCCP
Dr Iain Feather is a well respected and senior Respiratory Physician who has worked in the Gold Coast region since 1994. During this time, Dr Feather has established valuable working relationships with his peers and also his patients. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians in 1991 and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in 1995.
He held the position of Clinical Director of Respiratory Medicine at the Gold Coast Hospital from 1995 - 2006 and is currently a Senior VMO at the Gold Coast Hospital. Dr Feather currently practices at the Gold Coast Hospital and holds a VMO position at Pindara, Allamanda and John Flynn Private Hospitals.
Iain Feather graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1984 and completed a residential course at 'The Sleep Center' at Stanford University in 1997. He has worked in hospital networks internationally including; Masterton (NZ), Christchurch (NZ), Newcastle (NSW), Southampton (UK), Southeast Hampshire (UK), Bath (UK) and Wellington (NZ).
He has also been employed by Universities in Newcastle (NSW), Southhampton (UK) and Otago (NZ). Dr Feather's special interests include Cystic Fibrosis. He has held the position of Centre Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at the Gold Coast Hospital from 1994 until the current time.
Dr Iain Feather is highly experienced in the speciality of Respiratory Medicine and also prides himself on the participation in undergraduate teaching of medical students at the Gold Coast Hospital and junior residents and registrars. He routinely attends a variety of professional development opportunities locally and regionally and is a great wealth of knowledge for his younger peers. |
